In my introductory blog post, I stated that my passion was Performing Arts. I thought that I would elaborate on this subject and tell you all what it is I most enjoy within this field and my experiences within it so far. My main interest in Performing Arts is the world of Musical Theatre. Ever since I started year 7, my mind has always been on performing, mostly it was in dance shows as we didn't really have proper drama lessons to do with the art of performance. In recent years I have come to learn about Musical Theatre in a way in which inspires me to be on the stage one day performing in one of my favourite musicals:
Chicago
Chicago is a musical set in the prohibition era in the USA (1920 - 1933). It is a musical by Kander and Ebb. It is based around three main characters: Velma Kelly, Roxie Hart and Billy Flynn. Velma and Roxie are both in Prison for murder, and Billy is the lawyer that they are both after to take their case. Roxie then ends up with Billy as her lawyer, much to Velma's annoyance. Throughout this musical, there is an ongoing fight between the girls for the most publicity and attention. When both of the characters finally get out of prison, they are both hired to work together on stage as a double act. The two end up more famous as a duo than they ever did when they were alone.
Very vague I admit, but I'm not good with writing any type of synopsis. I will be performing a song from this musical, but not for a while as I have no camera at the moment, but I shall have one very soon

My name is Vicky, I am 17 years old and my passion is Performing Arts. I am starting this blog so that I can show parts of my preferred disciplines within Performing Arts to anyone that shares my enthusiam, and hopefully to engage with you and maybe even get some reviews of my performances and advice on how to improve them. In the future expect to see videos of my skills as well as some commentary on them and topics on Performing Arts in general. I am always open to constructive criticism so don't be worried about offending me, as it all helps.
